Unfortunately, the famous Viennese schnitzel remained too thin and the thicker panade did not remember, the cucumber salad was prepared with too many potatoes and the Kaiserschmarren was so far from the original that the raisins were not present at all. What started so well with the recommended wine and the appetizer, the excellent service could no longer improve. The disappointment with me is great, because I always liked to visit the Gruber. Now I'm going to tell my friends.
We've been past Gruber's restaurant a few times. But only now we have actually made a visit to the restaurant. The facility looks a little like a doll's room. My wife liked this very well. She felt it very cozy. I have to say that it is a little need for reconciliation. However, an ambience like in Gruber's is not seen every day. The staff are very quiet, which we felt very positive. Since we have never been in Austria, we cannot say whether the food of Austrian tradition corresponds. It was good, though. Well dressed and big portions. The Grubers in Cologne is therefore recommended.
Some time ago I was in Gruber's restaurant for the first time and developed a certain sympathy for Austrian cuisine. The good service and the upscale ambience have contributed to this. Bright rooms with attractive covered tables. As demand is seemingly very high, you should always book a table. With typical Austrian cuisine, among other things, Schnitzler are presented in sufficient size. With a three-way menu, you get really tired here in Gruber's. Reordering is certainly possible, however, it is absolutely not necessary. Gruber's restaurant in Cologne is really great.
