Fahrhaus - Köln

The atmosphere of this restaurant helps to make the meal memorable. Fine dining while watching the sun set and enjoying the ships on the Rhine. Their menu is varied and if our table was any indication of the variety then it accommodates all food connoisseurs....Service was timely. While the evening was rainy and cold, the restaurant put up heaters to ensure their customers were comfortable (we were there in June). The Wine list had excellent choices.

#Food: For three frozen shrimps in a lake of cooked oil we payed Euros. The Italian vegetables (chard) were okay but, as Italian, I´ve never seen a plate of vegetables with so much garlic. #Service: The waitresses were rude and impolite. #Location: Really nice...location in front of the river, but the terrace is covered and the people are allowed to smoke.

I've been here twice last couple of weeks for a (late) night drink. They have a very nice terrace that is covered and heated in winter. With outside we still managed to be comfortable with spectacular night-lit view of Cologne in the distance and...the boats on the river. The menu is somewhat limited but I'll definitely return for a lunch or dinner.

The venue is located on the bank of the river Rhine. They have indoor and outdoor dining areas. The decoration is done with a good taste. The view on the river is nice. We only had drinks which were OK. The service is good.
