The Orient - Kolkata

Absolutely loved this place! Would like to visit again to try out the other menu items. We went for dinner together with family and relatives on a Sunday night at 10:00. The dining area is a bit small, has space for around 40 people, including the air-conditioned dining area and bar stool and around 20 people outside the balcony. We imagined getting a table for six, as they had only a big table for big groups, inside; and it rained outside, so that the balcony was closed. The menu was decadent and had a great spread. I was impressed by the use of authentic Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese and other popular Southeast Asian flavors and recipes. We ordered two chicken stars and they were finger-licking good. In the main course we had two types of noodles and two types of rice, both very nice. And as a side we had chickens that were also pleasant. I ordered jasmine tea as a drink as I had a sore throat, and the staff was friendly enough to prepare it for me, freshly brewed, twice on request. The others had mocktails that were magnificent. The crowd was quite a lot and so we were usually full except we had some space left for Dessert. And to finish it on a cheerful note, we had an ice cream plate that actually contained more fruit than two pots of ice cream, but all in all it was good experience. The staff was friendly and helpful and very friendly. The service was fast and the flavors were authentic and persistent from tradition (except the fact that the menu had Chicken Sushi available, which is blasphemy, but I believe in a modern kitchen aspect, it concerns the people who want to experience sushi, but do not want raw fish). I would definitely visit again to try out the rest of the items. In any case, I would recommend this place to any loving Asian taste.

This beautiful place in serves some extremely tasty and authentic Asian foods. I would particularly like to mention her sushi. I had sushi from many places in Kolkata, but I could say that her sushi is really the best. I also recommend CRISPY ANIMAL JUMBO PRAWNS, FUJIAN CRISPY SPRING ROLL, WHOLE SHRIMP CRYSTAL DUMPLING. The service was really great and the staff were very well qualified. A must to visit in the city.

Experience a gamma of Pan Asian delicacies under a roof on orient saltlake. Located on the 4th floor of Block E of City Centre 1, Orient offers numerous Asian delicacies such as Malaysian, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, etc. The restaurant is massive and can accommodate more than 60 people at a time. The ambience is very stylish with very cozy decor and service is top notch. I tried countless dishes from here. My recommendation would be: *STARTERS* Pan Fried Chilli Fish Salmon Sushi (must) Crispy Sichuan Chicken The SALMON SUSHI is a must from its menu. It is so delicate, it melts right into the mouth. PAN FRIED CHILI FISH was very crispy and spicy and so was the SICHUAN CHICKEN. *MAIN COURS* Bhetki in Chilli Garlic Sauce Classic Fried Rice Chicken The fried rice was very light and aromatic. It was surprisingly paired with the BHETKI in CHILI GARLIC SAUCE. *DESSERTS* Coconut ice cream with brushed caramelized walnuts This dessert is my absolute favorite and is a must from here. The creamy coconut ice cream with caramelized walnuts is something I would have if I was sleeping. They also serve here at affordable prices alcohol. You can also enjoy cocktails and cocktails. My favorite cocktail from her menu is Orange Fizz Mojiti . Definitely give this item the next time you are here in the Orient. Price for two €1800

I had a fantastic experience there. All those dishes are exclusively exotic.. head chef ghanashyam and chef Deepak have the magic in their hand .. they prepare tastiest food which makes you happier instantly. From rooftop to indoor seating area, from service to Asian food options, Orient has it all. I had a great experience over there. Our dinner was quite fascinating.. Planning to visit soon to explore other food options. Thank you team Orient.

Very delectable dining experience. Loved the oriental cuisine with desi touch. Tried the assorted seafood starter,gai sai thakrai with herbs,mixed hakka noodles,tangra style chili chicken chocolate sphere encasing bannoffee pie with vanilla icecream. Wished the calamari octopus to be slightly less cooked though. The standout was definitely the desert. They could deliver the theatre which is commendable. Potion size perfect. Found the staff to be helpful courteous. Overall 4.5 out of 5. Definitely recommended
