Pretty good food overall, though a bit too expensive. Options are not big at all, so in any case check the menu before going. I had the rams and it was decent, although not really the best I ever had. I had ramen and a few real Asian places and the broth on this was just missing some of the deep taste I was looking for. Wife had the burger without a bungalow I tried, and the burger was amazing! Definitely worth the price though steep. I don't know if I would recommend this as a visit. Very good.

One of the best food I've ever had on this island. Everything is well prepared and delicious with unique taste. I think the chefs in this restaurant are great! My only complaint is our waiter. He wasn't happy because we didn't order as many alcohol as he thought we should. You could see his attitude. Otherwise this is definitely a five star experience.

Roy is one of my favorite restaurants and when we found out that we were just a few blocks away from one of his restaurants, I was excited by the roof. The experience at Eating House 1849 Koloa lived up to and surpassed my already high anticipation. The food is a unique blend of flavors prepared near perfection in delicious well presented dishes. The open air atmosphere offered us beautiful sunset, ocean and mountain views all from the same seat. The food at Roy's is an extraordinary experience that is rare if ever duplicated elsewhere.

One of my favorite restaurants in Kauai. Book before time. Brussels sprouts were good, but a little tart. Mongolic BBQ tapes were almost tender from the bone. The Kamameshi Butterfish was absolutely delicious high in taste and Umami, one of the best fish dishes I ever had. Very delicate and smiling in your mouth. My friend ordered the Hapa Burger, the Patty was made of 70% beef, 20% wild boar, 10% Portuguese sausage said it was the best burger he had, very tasteful and spicy done exactly right. Here came three times last year, service and food were exceptional every time. Edit: The bar (full-kitchen menu) comes first to sit if you cannot get a reservation. The Hapa Burger was very good, right and juicy cooked. The slowly braided honey mustard grilled beef short ribs were very tasteful and delicate.

Had signature butter fish sizzling rice dish and ribeye steak. Everything on menu is excellent! Service top notch and loved the up stairs restaurant where they did not pack in seating. Definitely check out!!
