My bf brought me there for my birthday dinner. Staffs are attentive, if you want a KLCC view, you are required to order their set menu. The menu on zomato is an old version, they have an updated menu when I went in Oct 2017. However, the pasta I ordered is just so so, but the miso cod fish is my thing!!
We would like to thank Ms Ally restaurant manager, Kelly the captain , Chef Mun and the kitchen team to prepare a great dinner to celebrate our friend birthday with amazing arrangement, service and food. We had a great night with wonderful view. We had tomahawk beef steak....which is the hero of the night which really perfectly prepared. It's really a great place to celebrate your special day. Best place and view in KL, value for money, best service and food. Thumbs Up
Had a good experience celebrating my boyfriend's birthday here. The only turn off was the lighting for photography. Because we took the twin towers view seat, we were required to get the course meal. We get to choose either 3 course meal or 4 course meal. <br/ <br/ Service: Almost excellent<br/ For a hotel, it's normal to get a great service especially when we spend a bomb on it. But from my experience, I contacted the restaurant through email to enquire tons of questions and arrangements and they replied informatively and clear. Very polite as well. When I was there, I was taken to my seat which I reserved and the food came all just in time according to the courses. <br/ <br/ Tastewise for the food: Marvellous<br/ I do love their beef bresaola. It was divine. I would eat that 2-3 plates. I also ordered the tuna for appetizer. Love how its seared outside and raw inside perfectly. We had pumpkin soup and spinach riccotta parpadelle for starters and for entree we had steak. Mine was sirloin and his was ribeye. Both were medium rare however the doneness for mine was slightly medium when I received. But it was very filling. We both were full after eating half of the steak. Imagine we had another dessert to finish which was the All in all, it was satisfying. <br/ <br/ Price: Reasonable.<br/ To compare with other hotels' course sets, this is by far one of the cheapest for me. RM180 for 3 courses and RM220 for 4 courses. It was filling and service was good. For once in a while occasions, it's considered as okay for me. Plus, we get a few courses for that price including steak. The actual price of a steak is usually around the price of the whole set. <br/ <br/ Ambience:<br/ It was quiet because only 3 tables were occupied on that night. Pretty normal for interior design. And just to warn, the lighting for photography isn't good especially for dinner. So if you plan to take photos, do bring your DSLR. Haha!<br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ <br/
I have to say that this place is beautiful in its way. It can be improved as this place has to compete with other better bars and restaurants in the area. Traders Hotel was once the epitome of elegance, but now there are W, Four Seasons, and a bit far away Banyan Trees that have better and newer restaurants and bar. Invest in a pull down electronic curtains and close it when the sun shines directly on your diners through the high ceiling windows. The view can see directly to the Twin Towers, but when the sun is out, it is too bright.
