Km.42 - La Guardia de Jaen

I was travelling through the South of Spain and decided to meet with part of my family to have dinner. Following advised from local people, we stopped at Km42 bar and restaurant. There is a free parking opposite the restaurant and there is a choice of eating in or outside in their terrace. The staff was incredibly professional and lovely. We were a group of 32 people. 6 of us are vegetarians. Most of the family had meat in the grill but the choice of the menu is excellent. We had calamar which was to die for, roasted red peppers with Melva (a kind of tuna) absolutely gorgeous, a vegetable and tuna salad that I personally highly recommend and the meat was out of this world. some people at the table didn't like chorizo, that was before the waiter insisted we tried and we were all converted. the choice of desserts were excellent. There is a really good list of wine and spirits. We just followed the staff suggestion and we all were glad we did. I cant remember at what time we left because at no point the staff make us uneasy even if it was far too late. I will definitely come back and I highly recommend this restaurant. I can't thank enough how lovely the food was and how lovely all the staff were to us I took a few pictures that unfortunately I cant download at the moment but I am hoping to be able later on

Comida de calidad, el sol de la terraza en invierno, y un menú del día por 11€ con comida casera y muy completo. Si quieres tapear, también es tu lugar.

Un lugar común para almorzar si te coge de paso. Nada del otro mundo. Aunque el servicio era muy amable

Un sitio que no te puedes perder si te gusta comer bien y que decir del servicio un 10 te hacen sentir como de la familia. X .
