Bar food is home cooked, the staff are great and love a joke well don't all the Spanish!!? all very reasonable priced whether single or double rooms, the latter have king sized beds. Recommend this highly
We have stopped here several times driving between Madrid and Marbella both ways. The food is always fresh and reasonably priced. You can choose your meat on display at the counter/bar and they grill it for you right there. This time we ordered the pork chops and the chicken breasts delicious! We split the ensalada mixta, and they also give you bread and olives. They serve Alhambra beer on tap, which is one of our favorites. We look forward to our meals here. They did not have conejo/rabbit this visit, so looking forward to our next visit in the fall. The location is right off the A 4 heading north to Madrid, so if you have passed the Tio Pepe advertisement, you have gone too far. It's about an hour drive from here to Madrid Barajas Airport.
We sat having our pre lunch Cava (which was served with a delicious complimentary tapa on the upstairs terrace that has spectacular views over the Tropical Valley and this was where our meal was served what a bonus to have lunch with such a fabulous view. As we were a group of 4 we decided to share a few starters and to go for a main course each. Marinaded pork loin, scrambled egg with local black sausage and a tomato and advocado salad kicked of the meal taste and presentation were wonderful. Our main courses (Duck breast, Iberico pork, pork fillet and salmon again were all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced. Desserts were as good as the rest of the food and 3 of the group partook I personally though can recommend the Meson Madera gin and tonic (Greenalls with blackberries and Juniper berries as the best dessert I have ever had. The food in this restaurant in the small village of Otivar would not be out of place any where in the world and a meal here is a must if you are visiting Granada or the Costa Tropical (its even worth the trip from the Costa del Sol
Sitio práctico y con opciones de comer en carretera. Personal muy amable. Se pueden pedir raciones, bocadillos, montaditos y también hay menú. La cerveza más fresca y rica que he tomado hace tiempo.
Buena carta y estupendo servicio. Desayunos completos y variados, para una parada en el camino viene estupendamente.
