Feedback gevenThis was a bus sometime in the past, today is yellow and blue colored and became a food truck in the middle of nowhere, which is nice and original. Just junk food, but in the most traditional way, even the form of payment (cash only), which was quite surprising since thanks to COVID-19 most places are NOT accepting cash, at least in Toronto and Mississauga. My family and I ordered some cheeseburgers, chicken shawarma, poutine and “cheese sticks” or “doigts de fromage”, better known as mozzarella sticks for us. Food was tasty, fresh, value was fair, we were served quite quickly and the bonus was having a gazebo just for us, with lovely weather, landscape and little noise. Worth the visit!
When heading to the beach in the Gatineau Valley, a must-stop is Carlos for the best fries. I always choose the burgers and fries, but they offer more than that. The atmosphere is straight out of "Happy Days" and completely retro, making it an experience. It may be biased as I frequent this spot before going into the park, but after trying other chip stands over the years, I always return to Carlos. -Marc, Ottawa
Inexpensive and inviting, with friendly service, serving typical chip truck fare. A nice spot to grab a bite if you're exploring Lac Philippe or Lac La Peche.
After spending $35 for lunch for my family, I went back to ask for a small styrofoam bowl so that I could put some water in it for our dog who was very thirsty and they charged me 15 cents! Even our kids vowed never to go back, in their words “... for as long as they live...”. Looking forward to enjoying some fries down the road from now on at Ti Ray!
Cool place, love the old bus. Fries are good, great soft ice cream and quick service. Very nice spot to stop on the way back from the beach or camping.
