178 Grill - Lake Isabella

Sept 20th, no one came around asking if we wanted to order. I had to go in to order. I only ordered two appetizers. Freckles and garlic fries.Took over 40 minutes to get and I had to go get them. There was two others also having to ask for their food. Was not busy enough for such slow service. Idk if it's because it sat so long or just bad food but the fries and freckles were both barely lukewarm. Freckles, not large and the batter just fell off. Small handful of fries and the spears was not large. Too much for what little food we got.On a positive note the garlic fries was good would have been better if served hot. ?

This is one we go to when we are in Lake Isabella. Best burgers ever!

We all ordered burgers, but we weren't informed that they come automatically cooked rare, which meant they were practically raw. We had to take them home and fry them again to ensure they were fully cooked. While some people might be fine with that, we weren't, and we believe we should have been advised that the burgers are always served rare.

The food was overcooked and overpriced. Let's discuss the burnt items: the hash browns were charred, the ham was burnt, and the over-easy eggs were also overcooked. The only thing that wasn't burnt was the ketchup. We ended up spending $55 for two meals and two beers, which felt excessive given the quality.

It was Friday.Family meal was suggested.Meat was amazing.
