They gave us a free suite for the night. For a suite room was super small, bed was hard like a rock, very outdated scratches over the walls and tables. Under the spiders on our bed. We were stopped all night by a wedding music after the music had finally stopped, about 2ish someone held the car horn at our door for an hour. Worst night sleep ever! The next day beaten to brunch... while the food was good, the table behind us had a dog in a stroller that kept barking... very unclean for a restaurant. I'll say the staff here was very pleasant, this is the only postive thing in this place... We visit Lake lure and Chimney rocks quietly a little as we don't live far..nie stayed here and never again.. And that will definitely be passed on to our friends and family who come.
We were there for a wedding; we were not in the Inn, so we can not comment on the rooms, although my 6'4 man (not overweight) went to one of the guest rooms and he said that he was hardly fit in the room and was glad that we had booked another hotel. The professionals: The reception staff was friendly and helpful, from what I could say. The lobby is a beautiful, comfortable seating area that is clean and relaxing. The garden where the wedding ceremony was held was absolutely beautiful. It was perfect for a small, intimate ceremony. The Conse: The Concierge Suite, which was provided for the bride party, was missing.... It is small, with inadequate seating and lighting. We were also told that the only bathroom we could use was one in the lobby. We found out when we went to the ceremony that there was a bathroom attached to the room. I honestly don't understand that all reviews about eating raving. Dinner at the reception was terrible. Okay, so the Spinat Artichoke dip was really good, and the fruit was fresh and delicious. However, the dinner provided was really subpar. Everything was very dirty, and the vegetables were roughly boiled. We definitely don't come back to dinner.
We held our wedding here in September 2022. First of all, the staff was absolutely WONDERFUL! They offer exceptional service for us and our guests! They really went beyond us and made sure we had everything we needed for a successful wedding weekend. You should get a 5-star rating. The low rating comes in terms of management, or lack of it in the Inn. We originally met over a year with Alyssa to book our wedding and she was wonderful and felt great with our choice. Six months before the wedding we received no answers from her and nothing was planned formally. Finally, we were informed that she had gone and took over Patrick. Everything fell apart. Patrick was not responding to several attempts by phone or email and when he reacted, he was very dismissed with us. We came to the Inn for our wedding tasting at 3 months and he forgot and nothing was prepared for us. In addition, we had no prices for the total cost of the wedding. Patrick routinely said he would have it for us on a day or so. Weeks and weeks pass without hearing from Patrick about quotations and prices. Two weeks before the wedding, we still had no prizes and we learned that Patrick and his assistant had both announced/been released and nobody knew anything about our wedding. We had started calling the Inn directly, and no manager ever felt inclined to call us back to help. It wasn't until we got the company wedding email address that we were finally able to get an answer and final plans a week before the wedding. On the day before the wedding, we met Amy, who assured us that everything would be fine and they all the details written and ready to go. Holly at the reception welcomed all our guests and helped with the delivery welcome bags. Leah, our bartender in the Moose Goose held late hours every night so that our guest had a pleasant experience. Shane clearly never sleeps because he did everything there, took everything down and served as a bartender at the Bonfire and at the wedding reception and then served Brunch on Sunday. He always ensured that we had what we needed and even loaned a bond to the bride's father. All our guests were impressed by the service and quality of food. The staff is the glue that holds this place together. The Inn is successful despite itself due to its employees. We learned that it wasn't the only wedding that Patrick had fallen down to, and the manager shouldn't have to manage someone micro, but they should make sure everyone does his job. We know that some guests have tried to reach the Inn after the wedding for different things, and no one ever calls them back. A good hotel manager could really make this place a much better place that is worth a higher rating. We are not even sure who the hotel manager is or whether it is
I was very disappointed. We came here for the second anniversary. Beautiful view and friendly staff, but no cleaning service, spider webs on pictures, dirty coffee machine, and there were no restaurants in the area open. We had to go to the next city to eat the 3 nights we were there. And I wanted my dream wedding here. Sometimes things are not always what they seem.
It was absolutely beautiful!!! Such a beautiful place. My boyfriend proposed to me. And it was my birthday present. Dirty Dancing is my all time favorite movie so it was the best birthday surprise ever!!!
