Our waiter was really great! he was very kind to us but not intrusive.

First they didn't have our table request...because they are not notified of open table reservations... so we were put in the bar vs the dinning room. Then the food took super long to come out of the kitchen, and our appetizer showed up at the same time as the meal. Overall, i felt like the size of my portion was really small for the price.

Experience is defined by ambiance and service. Now we are talking about Old Chicago- I get that. But here’s what to expect from this particular Old Chicago. When you order your food it never comes out. When it finally does it’s terrible. When the server comes to the table they don’t apologize. When you ask for the manager, he doesn’t come out and just gives you a meal credit. When you ask again, he blames the cook. That’s what you can expect.

I typically love Old Chicago, but they did not honor my open table reservation at all. Do not make a reservation through open table for this Old Chicago. They let me know that their computers had been down for some time. “We don’t even see it when you make a reservation on open table.“ Then, instead of honoring our 7 PM reservation, they put my party of seven at the bottom of a waitlist and let us know it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait. We waited for about 20 minutes and then found a table open in the bar (open seating). Once at our table, the service was great and the prices were fair.

We got a killer deal. Buy one get one pizza free. They have good appetizers as well. It's a good date night or for you and a buddy.
