Aquatis Hotel SA - Lausanne

After a very disappointing experience when visiting the aquarium next door (unfriendly staff, dull displays, crowded room, bad audio, high cost), the lunch in the hotel restaurant aquantis brought back the luck. beautiful location, comfortable seating, large menu choice, excellent kitchen, impeccable service, attentive staff and acceptable prices....Easy access and in-house parking make this a perfect place for pleasant restaurants.

Staying in the hotel for three nights I went only one to the restaurant: the other days it was said that it was full even if the tables were empty. There is not much nearby, you have to take the metro to get to the...next restaurant. Nevertheless, the evening I had the chance to eat in the restaurant the quality was very good, above average compared to other hotels of the same category.

About 2-3 years ago, where the service was very slow, let it come back to this place for lunch. because of the circumstances, this is the only place I could meet with my friend. After I arrived and friend, and while I wait for the rest of the party of 5, the service did not come to see us for 15 minutes. while the complete table does not sit, starting to have a look at the menu and order a drink without having to call the server would have been appreciated. drinks were served, and fortunately everyone had chosen to place the order, and food arrived in an acceptable time frame. the food was okay. well presented and not to find a fault with taste or quality. that's when it started getting bad. we asked for ice for the children who arrived soon, but the 3 coffees we ordered at the same time were forgotten, despite the insured coffee of the server come immediately during the serving of the eises. we waited more than 10 minutes and I had to remember the personal. When the coffee arrived, we had no spoon to mix the sugar. at this place it was already 1h15, since the last guest arrived. we had to ask three more times about the bill, and it finally came 25 minutes later. that was similar to what I experienced for the first time. do not come to lunch if they have a limited time slot. eating is okay with an acceptable price for standing the place.

Expect the usual conference dinner, but what a pleasant surprise. my first experience with grilled duck breast in Europe. nicely tanned on the outside, juicy and tender and red on the inside, oozing with rich taste and juice. very good with rice, cooked vegetables and salad.

The breakfast buffet is very good, fresh with a beautiful mix of hot and cold. very beautiful brot. stir eggs are good with the speck. nice yogurt.
