Had a lunch reservation on graduation day and was so disappointed in our experience was a terrible ending to a happy day. While I expected service to take longer than normal, we waited over an hour for our food. The onion rings were burnt. We wanted to send them back but our server did not return so we finally ate them bc we were starving. When the food we ordered for our meal finally arrived, it was terrible. My salad was completely wilted the greens appeared to be cooked and the plate was hot. When I said this to the server, he said it was supposed to be this way. It was inedible. The other food was cold but we did not want to wait any longer for them to correct it. I never write reviews, but this was such a terrible experience that I decided to share our experience. Friends who had not even made a reservation finished their meal at another restaurant before we were even served.
I really expected more from this place on the hill . We arrived at boomer hour, i.e., 3pm. Our server arrives and so do our drinks shortly thereafter. My yakamaniac is cold and bffs lemon drop martini is delicious. Our hubby 's beers same! We decide on appetizers to share as it 's close to supper time, and us old folks can 't eat like we used to! Spinach and artichoke dip, wings, chicken nachos and burrata cheese with garlic toast. WHERE DO I BEGIN AND PLEASE LET IT END! Bff hoists a chip (which are tri colored and perhaps to take your eyes off the ghastly food), and scoops up dip and instantly grimaces. It 's lukewarm and horribly bland. No taste of cream cheese nor spinach. Just ugh. Next up! The Burrata cheese which is nowhere near tasting like balsamic vinaigrette has been seasoned upon it. Ditto the peaches served with it. Chicken nachos? Not cho! Skimpy toppings and dry chicken chunks (think canned). Let 's round this out with the wings. Jeepers, they should 've flown away but couldn 't because they were so overcooked they couldn 't get off the ground of delicious. Tough, no taste and again bland. After asking our server for another round of drinks this was seriously the only way to eat this food.Additional info: it 's beautiful presentation used to mask the ghastly taste. (Grimace)
Dawson, our waiter, epitomized excellence in service during our dining experience. From the moment we sat down, his attentiveness and warmth made us feel truly valued as guests. His dedication to providing exceptional service was evident in every interaction; he not only took our orders promptly but also took the time to engage with us, showing a genuine interest in our preferences and ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of delightful. Dawson's professionalism, coupled with his friendly demeanor, elevated our evening, making it an unforgettable one. His exemplary service truly made a difference, and we look forward to returning to the restaurant for another exceptional dining experience, thanks to Dawson's outstanding hospitality.
We went there for the Easter buffet and were very disappointed. Food was very average at best.. overcooked prime rib and all meats were very dry. They even added on a 21% tip and didn't inform us that was the policy for Easter. We found out ourselves. Pretty disappointed with this as we traveled in from Denver and we can't recommend.
