Tampico Authentic Mexican - Leavenworth

I was really surprised by this place. I was in the city for training and went one night to dinner. the servier sizes were large, eating was good and authentic and the service was at the point. the cost was cheap. I went there on a date where the margaritas were bought to get one (lecker me, but I think they do this every week night). I left the restaurant to pay with only $23 for my bill that contains a 20% tip for the waitress.

Our happier place, as my family calls it. whether we dive or take off, eating is always amazing! the personal is just as brilliant.

I was thrilled to find a Mexican restaurant from our hotel, but to my misfortune? it was one of the worst Mexican restaurant we have ever visited, worldwide. it tasted like the Mexican food in Germany. this Mexican restaurant is far from authentic. the salsa tasted like a bought load, horchata tasted like a kind of soap. reis tasted as if it was out of a bag that simply needed to reheat and my carne asada was very rough/sniffing. it has not sown as it should and not all fixations like paprika and more. sopapilla was incomplete, puffy and a little hard to chew. it was loaded with sugar and did not have the whip cream with it. overall, very disappointing and will definitely not recommend it to everyone else!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. surprised at the sweetness of the tees in this far north, but was well sweeter south tea. large portioning and a beautiful small city

Location is close to Fort Leavenworth. Parking (street parking) might be difficult during lunch our rush, unless they have parking in back area that we didnt see. Friendly staff. Their chips and salsa is good. We enjoyed what we ordered. Food was not overly greasy. Price is fair. And they do offer military discount.
