Giardino - LECCO

Family restaurant, offering a varied menu, typical Lombardy: traditional dishes, cured and goose. the service is celery, the friendliness of the staff contributes to make pleasant and welcoming the atmosphere of the room. a great choice for group dinners. excellent quality, price.

Ideal Italian food and wine. very nice service, has not spoken much English, but it was not important. good prices too.

Although il giardino is not in the center of the city, it is worth the taxi ride or 25 minutes to foot from ponte vecchio. a traditional restaurant run by the family sesana, in the minute they walk in the door laura or a member of the family they will meet with a smile. they can smell the homemade cooking and hear the busy sounds of the kitchen. the chef paolo sesana, aka “Padella” (Sauce-Pfanne) decides the menu daily. they should not leave lecco without tasting their best dishes on the menu; gnocchi di zucca (pumkin and potato paste,) polenta e stinco (corn meal and pork roast), and fabulous homemade desserts and cakes, as well as a variety of seasonal specialties from fresh, locally cultivated products, meat, cheese and regonal wines. despite the name there is no garden. the atmosphere is casual, an authentic family company Italian restaurant, not pretenious, not unusual, but eating is excellent. good for couples or family foods. it is very busy day in the whole week and only open on Friday and Saturday night. il giardino is our absolute favorite restaurant in lecco not going without trying!
