We stopped there for lunch, in appalling weather, and the waiting staff were amazing, making sure we stayed dry, away from the rain, and even lending two jackets as we were sat on the terrace. We ordered the homemade lasagne and the magret de canard. Both were generous portions, and very tasty. They came with a simple, but delicious salad, which we had with a glass of red. All was very good, and we were happy we chose this restaurant. The interior was cosy, with bookshelves and tasteful seating, giving a lovely ambiance. In the end I only took one point off because the Café Gourmand was slightly less imaginative than we are used to (though the three tarts were homemade and lovely! and because they had almost run out of the dish of the day (lasagne by the time we arrived at 12.30. We will definately be back when next in Lectoure. Can recommend!
This is a modest book store and restaurant clean, pretty, and fun to eat at. I've found the service very good and the food to be very very good consistently. Plus the house wine is very good. The menu is short but there are always many things i want to eat on it and it's relatively inexpensive. I particularly like the whole baked cheese with bread and a giant salad and I love the duck medallions on duck fat sauteed toasts. I was here in May of 2016, Dec 2016, and April of 2017. I'd give it the same review every time.
Very nice restaurant, lunch surrounded by books and staff is very pleasant, deserve to go there at least once,
Ambiance original bookstore, nice and hearty menu. We have lunch fairly regularly and always spend very pleasant moments and full of good mood.
