Du Gout a la Toque - Léguevin

We were surprised by the pricey evening menu 32€ or 37€, but when the food came we were blown away by the quality and presentation. Absolutely delicious.

I live there. Plenty of people here told me that restaurant is made of quality.I had lunch there for the first time a week ago.Now I have to go back for the evening diner.The plat du jour was perfect. The quality is there.Price at noon perfect.

Had a lovely lunch here with friends who we had not seen for years. The smaller towns in the Haute Garonne are not renowned for gourmet experiences. And in any case there are not many restaurants open on Monday. Du Gout a la Toque is in the centre of Leguevin, in the part of town that is partly pedestrianised. We had no difficulty finding parking (free, on the street). We had made a reservation, and glad we did so. The restaurant has about two dozen covers on wet days, and it filled up. Locals, families, regulars seemed to be the main customers. The four of us opted for the simple menu du jour: 3 courses for €13.50. First course a fresh vegetable pot with creamy mild goat cheese; followed by shredded duck topped with parmentier potato - this was superb; and a fresh home-made creme brûlée. Service was quick without being rushed. We actually stayed for over two hours because we had a lot of conversation. Being lunchtime we declined local wine and beer which were offered at attractive prices. On fine days you can eat outside. If you're looking for an uncomplicated, good value, nicely prepared menu du jour lunch this is the place for you. I rated the food as **** because of the skilful manner in which simple food was prepared, cooked, and presented

Une adresse que j'adorais mais qui perd en qualité en voulant accueillir trop de monde à midi. Le plat m'a été servi 50 minutes après être arrivé, la papillote de poisson comprenait 3 morceaux de poisson alors que ma collègue en avait 7 ou 8. Le dessert a dû être mangé à la va-vite car l'heure tournait et pour ne pas arriver en retard au travail, nous n'avons pu prendre le café. Quel dommage. Je suis sortie avec la faim et en ayant passé mon temps à attendre pour au final manger très vite.
