They seem to specialize in pho because their only two food choices is pho: the Hanoi pho and the Saigon pho. After hearing such good things I decided to try it phor myself ; . I had the Saigon pho which includes their fresh noodles (much like pad Thai sized noodles , ribeye, flank, tendon, beef ball, tripe, and brisket. I also ordered a gigantic beef bone on the side. The pho broth was amazing! They delivered a clean broth and their noodles and protein selections tasted so fresh! I was surprised to see the noodle size at first since it wasn't the traditional thin noodle, but this noodle was much tastier. The beef bone was a little on the bland side and didn't taste as if it was boiled in the same delicious broth as the soup. The texture though was very tender and cooked to perfection. I just whipped up a sauce and ate the meat with the pickled onion they provided. I also ordered a side of Vietnamese coffee and I was not disappointed. Strong coffee is my forte! This meal came at a hefty $26, but was definitely worth it. The portion for a large given it is a $15 bowl is very small compared to other restaurants. But I am willing to trade large portion sizes for a quality bowl! Delish!
I'm so happy that Sit Lo has the Midtown location. Their pho is probably one of the best in the city. The pho broth is amazing and so flavorful, and if you add in some nuoc beo, it tastes even better. I'm not a huge fan of their Hanoi pho, which I thought would be the same as (or very similar to) Saigon Alley's previous Hanoi pho, which was more savory compared to Sit Lo's version. I find it a little too sweet for a pho broth. Online ordering can sometimes be hit or miss. Some days we'll get the wrong order, and other days it's spot on.
Went around lunchtime today. Seems like there's only one worker. She was taking orders and cleaning tables and basically doing everything. Pho was good. Hanoi pho broth was a bit on the oily side. The Chinese donut was a good touch. I was a bit disappointed that they had ran out of fresh noodles especially during lunch time so we had to get the alternative pho noodles only. I'm sure that would have made our bowls of pho that much better! This was my first time here and won't be my last.
This is a nice refreshing take on pho with slow cooked broth, large pieces or beef, chicken. They also serve the soups with a savory donut that you can dip into your soup for a flavorful meal. Definitely worth it on a cold day.. also on a hot day when you're craving pho. This spot specializes in different pho bowls!
Pretty good Pho! 2nd time here and I will continue visiting to fulfill my Pho cravings. Usually, I head down to S.Sac for Pho that includes a giant short rib, so I'm glad there's a restaurant near me that also offers that option $6.50 for 2 ribs in soup . I prefer #1 Hanoi over #2 as the broth is more flavorful than the traditional Pho that I'm use to within the Stockton Blvd. vicinity. Asian donuts and garnishes are also included. Pho lovers must give this place a try. Super yummy broth without having to add condiments. Gorgeous murals. Small, but cute layout and decor. Perfect location for after-meal drinks. And super nice and sweet cashiers/servers pink/purple ponytailed girl this morning . Thank you for the to-go cup, bag, and extra bag for my ribs! :
