We tried the lunch special, which came with a delicious cup of soup, an amazingly good pizza and dessert! The prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere was perfect for families. They were also very accommodating for our baby, providing a changing table and giving us extra space. We will definitely be returning to this place!
This restaurant offers delicious brochettes with a tasty marinade that isn't overpowering. The chicken is moist and the rice and home fries are also very good. The portions are generous as well. The chicken legs are decent but a bit on the smaller side. They may leave you wanting more compared to the huge brochettes. We haven't tried the pizza yet. The staff is friendly and mostly bilingual. However, the kitchen is very slow for take-out orders, with a wait time of 32 minutes for a chicken leg and a brochette on a Saturday. It seems they prioritize seated customers over take-out orders. When busy, the restaurant can be noisy and crowded, similar to a busy bar. It's great for a large family with energetic children, but not for a relaxing dining experience. We prefer to get take-out and enjoy our meals by the scenic waterfront in one of the nearby parks in historic Coteau du Lac or near the canal down the street. The chef had a moment of frustration with a server, but overall the kitchen runs smoothly, albeit slowly. Nothing has been overcooked or undercooked. The focus here is on the food, not the atmosphere.
Three of us went to this restaurant for lunch. We ordered an extra large all-dressed pizza (topped with pepperoni, mushrooms, and green peppers). We requested extra cheese, but the staff advised that it was not necessary. They were right – the cheese and toppings were abundant. Our total bill, including drinks, was less than $30.00, and we were able to take home nearly half of the pizza.
This place has fantastic brochettes. The marinade is good and not over powering. The chicken is not dry and the rice and home fries are also very good. Portions are good aswell.Chicken legs are decent, but a little on the cheap side. They aren't exactly full of meat and may leave you wanting. unlike the brochettes which are huge. We haven't tried the pizza yet. The staff is friendly and mostly bilingual. With that said we keep going back for the chicken brochettes. Only problem is the kitchen is so very slow for take out that I feel like stealing someones plate or jumping the counter and making it myself. We timed it at 32 minutes for a chicken leg and a brochette on a Saturday. (They may prioritize the seated in house customers.)When busy this place is full of cackling and is very noisy. Comparable to a busy bar. Great for a large family with out of control children. So you wont find a nice relaxing meal inside. Which is why we always get take out and eat by the scenic waterfront in one of the many nearby parks in historic coteau du lac, (which we recommend doing) or next to the canal down the street. After all, we visit for the food not the atmosphere! The chef snapped at a server when the kitchen help made a mistake and cooked pork brochettes instead of chicken which wasn't the servers fault but aside from that the kitchen runs smoothly. Slow, but smooth. Nothing has been under or over cooked.
3 of us went there for lunch. Ordered a true extra large all dressed pizza, ( pepperoni, mushrooms & green peppers). Asked for extra cheese but was convinced that it did not need it. They certainly weren't wrong. Cheese and toppings were plentiful. With drinks it came to less than $30.00 with almost half of the pizza left to take home.
