Bolo Bolo

CONTEXT: A group of three of us went out to Bolo Bolo for Monday lunch. We were surprised to see that not a lot of people were present. We ordered what the restaurant specializes in a variety of types of meatballs, with side dishes (butternut squash ginger soup, and grilled vegetables . We found the restaurant to be very innovative not a lot of restaurants choose to specialize in meatballs. THE GOOD: Cleanliness: very clean Décor: very simple, very sharp modern décor. We surmised that the restaurant had recently taken over from a previous business that must have had some sort of night club or other restaurant design. Service waiter: was perfect. Just the right level of service (we felt neither abandoned, nor did we feel like the server was constantly 'in our face ' . He was quick to clarify our questions about the menu. The time from the order being placed to its time of arrival was acceptable. The food tasted wonderful. It was served at the correct temperature, had great texture and was presented nicely (the meatball dishes come each in their own dish and with their own serving implement, and these dishes in turn are presented on a long and narrow platter . What 's great about this dish is the variety of flavors that can be had in one platter. In a way that is akin to Chinese restaurants, it is recommended to come here with friends so that you can order a large quantity and variety of food and sample all of the different flavors. Good value money quality ratio given how much we enjoyed the taste of the food and the price we paid, we found that this restaurant presented a very good ratio on these three factors. THE BAD: I had to struggle to find a suggestion. But, upon some reflection, I realized that it would be great if a side basket of bread was automatically provided alongside the meatball orders. The meatballs come doused in delicious sauces and there is often quite a bit of sauce left over. It would be great to have something to sop up the remaining sauce with. FINAL COMMENTS: It was a great experience. Not a lot of people were present in the restaurant and we hope that more people give this place a try. Hopefully, choosing to specialize in meatballs is something that people are ready for.
