Waited an hour after ordering the waiter completely ignored us and never came back to check on our family, refill chips and salsa, or update us on the food. Manager was called over and did not seem to care that we had been there for over an hour. We got up and left. Terrible experience and will never be back.
Super loud customers inside Great margaritas Will probably eat in the bar side as the restaurant side is too loud. Food is passable nice servers maybe I will try outside next time as the weather is cooling off
We arrived on Friday at 6 pm and we ordered at 6:20 pm by 7:30 pm we still were not served. After all of this wait time after ordering the table server did not ask if we wanted a second round drinks. Too many apologies and not enough action. Food was cold when we finally got it. Some orders were wrong and some never got their chili rellano. We left dissatisfied and we will not return. Too many other Mexican food restaurants in the area that understand customer sevice. Try Macayo's, just two miles away. Much better food and awesome service. It took less than 30 mins after ordering to get our food, on a busy night. Also, our server made sure that we had multiple rounds of drinks while we waited for dinner.
Outstanding family recipes... my recent takeout order of carne asada was the tastiest I've ever had from anywhere.
We saw a review of this restaurant on the PBS show Check Please Arizona. One of the reviewers raved about the Chile rellenos, so we decided to go there for lunch. The restaurant is located in the charming town of Litchfield Park, just west of Phoenix. The building is old and charming. There are tables inside and a large patio for eating outside, including misters for those hot desert days. We chose to eay inside since the outdoor tables are along the sidewalk and street, and we are not big fans of that. There is plenty of free parking behind the restaurant, as well as along the curb out front. Service was good. The very young servers had to cover both inside and outside tables, and they did a good job covering both. Based on the TV review, we had the chile rellenos. You get 2 Chiles with rice and beans. The Chiles were delicious. They are steamed and peeled, stuffed with cheese and broiled. Served wrapped in an egg omelet. Never had them that way, but they were very good. The rice and beans were soso, I've had better. Also, there was no sour cream, which was a disappointment. We both had beer. Mexican beer is on tap, domestic beer is in bottles. We're still on the fence about whether the 60 mile round trip drive to this restaurant was worth it, since there are so many excellent Mexican restaurants closer to home, but we're glad we tried it.
