Food came out it looked lovely, food was luke warm, chilli nachos(cold), halloumi fries(hard), baja tacos(rubbery) buffalo tenders(soggy). We literally had a bite and left it, £40 on food. The gitl who came over to clear table asked what was wrong, told her the good was cold and unedible and in a patronising manner she just smiled shrugged her shoulders and saof i'll pass it on to the chef. Staff looked miserable and a fair few looked like they didn't want to be there.. awful customer service, awful food, shame cause it's such a nice bar to go to
During our visit to Liverpool, we stumbled upon this hidden gem after not being in the area for 26 years. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was incredible. We ordered salt and pepper fries, buffalo tenders, and nachos, all of which were well-presented and delicious. The portion size of the nachos was so generous that we needed a takeaway container to bring some home. We highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful experience.
After finding out that our usual quiz night was cancelled, we decided to try this restaurant because they also advertised a quiz. However, we were disappointed to find that the quiz started 45 minutes late with long intervals between questions, making it lose its pace and fun. The drinks and food were overpriced and disappointing for a place on Lark Lane. The hot chicken burger tasted frozen and lacked any spice, while the chips were dry and low quality. The loaded fries with parmesan and truffle had no truffle flavor and only a sprinkle of cheese. We would not return to this restaurant and would recommend other places on Lark Lane such as Blondies, La Parrilla, or Lost at Lark Lane for food and drinks (preferably with a better quiz at 6pm on Sundays).
First and foremost, do not pay before you have seen your food! The Plain Jane burger was laughably fresh, like something straight out of the 80's. It was not up to the quality of a Birds Eye burger, and may have even come from an old tin. Only take one bite before deciding to return it. The police were on the premises, and at first we thought they had come for the chef. Beware, it is best to avoid this place or risk becoming another unsatisfied customer.
Family of 6 Waited over an hour for our meal, asked for update after 30 minutes, waitress didn’t come back to inform us with update. Meal finally came after one hour and was cold and pretty tasteless. The restaurant was not that busy. I recommended this restaurant to family cos I went a few months ago and it was great. Don’t know what’s happened but defo steer clear. Manageress offered us free drink when we gave feedback but we declined.
