Royal Standard - Liverpool

We stopped at this restaurant on a whim, as we had never been before. Despite the noise due to the lack of carpets, we had a pleasant experience. The food was delicious and served hot. I ordered the hunters chicken and my husband had the chicken and ham pie, both of which were fantastic. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning.

The hunters chicken was perfect as always with a lovely atmosphere and live sports to watch. It was a brilliant meal and overall a great experience.

We use the Standard on probably a weekly basis and are always pleased with both the food and service. We decided to try their Christmas Day menu and booked this in advance. The whole experience was excellent the food was really good quality, well cooked and presented. The staff were really friendly and helpful and a table service for drinks was a really good idea as the bar was very busy. We had a really relaxed and enjoyable time and will definitely be booking this for next year as soon as available. Took all the usual hassle out of Christmas Day together with no washing up.

After moving into the area almost two years ago, we often go into The Standard for food and drinks. This has been the second Christmas we have gone as a family for Christmas dinner. The staff there are second to none. We are always made to feel welcome and are very well looked after. The food is beautiful and the atmosphere makes you return again and again. Special thank you to Ben for organising our Christmas dinner with such excellent precision! We absolutely loved our day, Ben. Thanks to Amy for taking care of us making sure we had everything we needed, and thanks to Katheryn for running the best pub there is in West Derby. We’ll see you all really soon!
