The Bread Basket Deli - Livonia

The restaurant offers delicious food and excellent service, with a loyal customer base that keeps the place bustling. They serve a variety of sandwiches with generous portion sizes. At the moment, they are only offering takeout options.

I called ahead and my order was ready for me when I arrived just 10 minutes later. I have to say, Bread Basket in Metro Detroit has the best corned beef sandwich. I know some people swear by Star Deli, but in my opinion, Bread Basket takes the cake. I always ask for both an old and a new pickle with my #17 and 1/2 sandwich. I also like mine with extra Swiss cheese, but that's just my personal preference. The person in front of me ordered their #17 and 1/2 sandwich "extra wet", which apparently means extra Thousand Island dressing. The bottom line is, you can customize your order to your liking and they are more than happy to accommodate.

I really enjoy the pastrami and Swiss on double-baked rye with hot mustard at this restaurant. They also have delicious potato salad and "new dill" pickles. For those who love corned beef, the extra lean option is a must-try. My wife's favorite is the peppered beef. You can also buy fresh meats, bread, and sliced cheese to go, just like at a supermarket. Overall, it's a fantastic place to get a delicious sandwich.

I have been a customer for years but I stopped coming here a while back up until recently. I have noticed a drastic change in this store in the past few weeks and it is amazing!! The cashier in the morning is always friendly and get us customers in and out, my order is always accurate, and my food prepared correctly.... so for that I always tip her well. She is truly a delight. I've noticed the place has been kept much cleaner and the service has been fantastic. I almost thought there was new ownership!!!.... Keep up the good work bread basket, I will be back!!!!
