Trattoria Il Deserto - LIVORNO

We’ve got here after a 3 hour drive and exciting because of the good reviews. Unfortunately it was anything else than expected. I just can’t recommend them. I ordered i grilled chicken breast, which came burned and dry on a single leaf of green salad. Also my order and the order of two of friends was “insalata mista” which turned out to be 3 leaves of green salad, a bit of carrots and two pieces of tomatoe. To be fair, from eating out in tuscany for the past 6 years, this is simply embarassing. To charge for this, is pretty much fraud.

A bit chaotic place. Looks nice on the inside and outdoor seating too, but portuon sizes are rather for little children. Pricing doesn’t match what you get. Chicken breast (120g is a portion and with a leaf of green salad served is embarassing). Insalata mista is honestly a joke and i take it as insult to my stomach. Certainly i can’t recommend the place and we will for sure not return.

It is definitely a truckers trattoria,there is nothing fancy to it but the food is abundant and earthy.so different from new modern eateries that spring here and there without roots.Did like the antipasto di mare and the padellata,I would have loved to try the pastas,they looked enticing but I resisted.prices from last century.

Piatti buonissimi, moltissima scelta, prezzi che non mi spiego come fanno ad essere così bassi e camerieri molto simpatici, veramente consigliata
