This used to be one of our regular stops in Logan but it sure has gone down-hill. The store is organized differently than previous visits and it was harder to find prices on several items. It seemed noticeably more expensive overall and after I had paid what I thought was a lot, the cashier started pulling items she said she had forgotten to ring up. I said I just wouldn't get them and she wanted to do more transactions but I declined. Perhaps ring things up as they get bagged so that everything is accounted for before the customer is charged...we probably won't stop here next time we're around.
This is a little store with no frills in sight, but it packs a punch with quality and variety. They tout that they are the little Switzerland of the Rockies. We've visited several times over the years and tend to purchase our favorites like squeaky cheese as well as fresh-made swiss, blue cheese, and cheddar options. I recently tried their famous single-serving milk in a box. I tried the strawberry flavor which was yummy, and I don't typically drink a lot of milk. They also offer some gift times, as well as candy, honey, jam, syrup, and the like. It's not all about the dairy here at Gossner's. I think they will be around as long as the family wishes to keep the business going. The nostalgia, as well as the quality, makes this a staple for the area, which remains a popular stop for us every time we visit the Cache Valley area.
This was my first time here and it was amazing! The selection was far more than I could have imagined. They carry a variety of shelf stable milk products that range from whole to fat free milk as well as individual servings for lunch boxes that come in a wide variety of flavors. They also had an array of local products such as cheese, honey, candy, etc. Not to mention the cheese selection. They had all of the usual and then some. I bought smoked cheese curds, jalapeño cheese curds, horseradish cheddar, and even Havarti. They also have an ice cream counter in store and they sell coolers if you come unprepared like I did. The staff was also helpful and friendly. Awesome store!
Been privileged to enjoy their high quality dairy goods for 20+ years now. Love that they've expanded their shop for local food artisans and sell their milk products by the case.
