I was standing at where to place an order for approx 5-7 mins, but no one served me or not even bothered to say hello. Never mind, there were plenty of places to eat around there. Got into Cafe Mi and was served promptly once I stepped in. There were pretty much everything on the menu that I would look for in Chinese restaurants. My vegetable hor and a red bean pancake were served not so long after having been ordered. The hor fun was so huge that I didn't think I could have the pancake, so I asked the waiter to get the pancake packed in a takeaway container. Not sure whether I was way too hungry or the hor fun was so delicious that I finished the whole serve!!! Anyway I was satisfied with the food and service, and coming back to try other dishes when I'm not too hungry. Ps: The red bean pancakes were yummy too.
I caught up with a friend over a mid-week dinner two weeks ago. The place is tucked away in the corner of the food court / next to the entrance of the cinema. The three dishes we ordered were alright, but nothing to write home about. We arrived around 8pm. By 9pm we were getting a few stares from one of the staff. We felt as though we were overstaying our welcome. This became more obvious with mop and buckets being brought out while we ate. We couldn't help but laugh and were then advised we'd need to leave shortly. We ordered three mains and two cans of soft-drink and I got change out of two $20 notes. So price-wise, that was awesome. Especially when both of us left very full. So, if you're wanting a cheap feed that is fairly decent with good portion sizes, and, don't mind basic service. I'd give this place a go. Make sure you bring cash as this is a cash-only place. I didn't know this until I had to pay. Luckily I had $40 on me and was *just* enough to cover the bill. Phew. All in all; Its cheap decent food and accessible with good parking at the plaza. Would I go back again? Sure.

We went for a walkabout around Sunnybank Plaza around lunchtime and saw that Cafe Mi was almost empty. We chose to sit outside the restaurant as it was less noisy (being away from the kitchen) and cooler. Warm tea and cold water is complimentary here. No service fee.... Haha! We ordered a shallot pancake to share, a combination fried noodle for me and a wonton soup noodle for my girlfriend. My meal arrived within 5 minutes followed by the shallot pancake. By the time the wonton noodles arrived 15 minutes later, my girlfriend had finished the pancake. The food was satisfactory not great. The wonton noodle soup was edible but quite bland. We keep returning to Cafe Mi as it is conveniently situated in the food court and we can always get a table.
Good Cantonese food with a wide variety to select from. The place is clean and tidy and it's fun to see the kitchen at pace. The staff are attentive.
