Was on the street near our hotel with my family looking for places to eat on our first night in London. A lovely gentleman saw us looking confused, came up to us and we started a conversation. He told us if we wanted real authentic Indian food without caring about location or aesthetics, this was his favourite place. We didn’t mind, back home our favourite pizza place was a small place in a street corner and we’d go there for years. We were still skeptical, though, we didn’t know much about London, after all! After a couple minutes of walking we got there, and the service and food did NOT disappoint! Absolutely amazing. Friendly staff, authentic and delicious Indian food, just an overall great experience. So far during our stay in London, nothing has been able to top it! The gentleman that sent us there was truly an angel from above LOL
Without doubt the best curry in England if not the world! Nothing has come close to this, not even in India did I taste something so divine as this! All the Gohst dishes are exceptional! I love the team here as well, so friendly! They greet me like a long lost brother every time i eat at the restaurant!
Stopped into Halal restaurant on our honeymoon. It was my husbands first time having Indian food and it was absolutely incredible! We would definitely come back again!!
If you’re in the mood for straightforward, no-frills classic curry, this place is worth a try. It’s one of the few traditional spots in the East near the city. I had the chicken curry with half a portion of potato curry, served with white rice, and a side of samosas, all for just £14. Plus, they allow you to bring your own beer, which is a nice bonus!
