There is no boardwalk here but rather a cement walking space right along the water so you can still get your walks in.. also there are a few stores within walking distance to break up the monotony jf you want to leave the resort.
Location is great, the right distance from the village where you will find bars, restaurants, clothing boutiques, ice cream shop, bowling, arcade, a 7/11 and a gym. Our room was clean and air conditioning worked great. Room service lacked in quality. Quesadillas were always on point. The wings and chicken sandwich was not to our liking. The cleaning staff was pleasant, Miriam didn’t have to clean our room but when she saw us in the hall way she would always ask if we needed something. Sweet lady. Now for what we paid a night (not cheap) we expected a certain level of service and cleanliness. The following is what we were not so happy with: We had to call twice to have coffee keurig cups sent to our room, never got them. We got some Thanks to Mariam who was in the hallway with her cart. The hotel advertises a pool with food and drink services. We get to the pool on first day and the service station is closed. We had to walk down to the tiki bar to get our drinks. Again, for what we paid a night this was somewhat disappointing. I expressed my frustration to the bartender Isaac (whom may be a manager, idk) and he apologized and stated the person had called out sick. He provided us with two drink vouchers and also set up a speaker by pool so the area could be more lively. That was great service recovery. The following day the pool has the services we expected, drinks food and music. The pool could use some tlc, it had a scum line around the whole inside of the pool. Lastly, for what we paid I did not expect to search for a bellboy cart and take my own luggage to my room. Maybe they were short staffed and that would explain some of my dissatisfactions. Overall it was a nice stay. Other parts of hotel were very clean and staff was friendly.
After arriving on a rainy day with every amenity closed, outdoor pool, beach empty and limited bar food available we sat to have a few drinks for my friends 50th birthday. After three drinks we decided to explore the property, when one of us accidentally dropped the glass drink the bartender insisted was ok to take with us, after we asked for a plastic cup. Very apologetic, we started to clean it up, when we were approached and told we were “cut off” from bar area, and were humiliated in front of the lobby. We paid a lot of money to literally sleep at this location, spent $300 at the bar on bad food and drinks to be degraded and made to feel like alcoholics causing an issue when it was a simple clumsy mistake. We will not recommmend this hotel to anyone, not worth the Money or the humiliation. Ironically, they offered to send drinks to our room after claiming we were cut off from bar.
I was at this hotel several days ago and have been there for a special Passover program for several years. The hotel is conveniently located in Long Branch, NJ . The NJ Transit station is very close to the hotel. It's an ocean front hotel, which is great for beach access. The hotel is very upscale, probably the most upscale place on the Jersey Shore. There were several false fire alarms on one day while I was at the hotel. I had to wait 10 minutes by the security gate for it to open. My wife had to go back to the hotel and had to talk to three different people before someone helped. I think the hotel should better manage this type of security issue.
It's a very busy and beautiful place. I love the beach and Walk in the surrounding area.
