The sautéed onions that were $1 extra showed up raw, i dont mean undercooked, just sliced onions. Very disappointing. I would try again as it might just have been an off day.
Stopped for lunch while on a day trip. The waitress, Ireland, was very attentive and made recommendations. I went with the Bison burger and salad, my partner went with the taco salad and added chicken. Both salads were excellent and made up of a lot of different items. The bison was a bit dense for my liking although there was great flavour with the saskatoon berries and spices in the burger. Quaint atmosphere, lots of locals. It was a good experience and I'd go back. PS. very clean and modern bathroom.
Needed a stop between Calgary and Cranbrook so we pulled into the town. Right in the middle of a motorcycle run lunch stop. Had to wait a bit as there was only one waitress and she was running. Had a decent lunch at a reasonable price.Good soup.
We decided to take a leisurely drive to Longview recently and found ourselves there around brunch time. We went in to the hotel to what is currently called The Twin Cities Cafe and Grill. We were told by local patrons that it is the only spot in town where you can get a hot breakfast. We had regular breakfast fare and it was excellent.
When you enter this hotel/restaurant, you feel like you've entered another era. Local folk clearly love this place.
