The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance, with lovely island-themed decor and a diverse menu. Unfortunately, my meal did not meet expectations. I ordered a lovely piece of eye fillet, requesting it to be cooked “medium rare,” and it was served with a small flag indicating this preference. However, it was overcooked and ended up being very well done, so dry that it was almost inedible, and I could only manage to eat half of it. I politely brought this to the attention of the head server, who offered a lackluster apology but no further solution. This was my least enjoyable dining experience on Lord Howe Island.

I had a delightful steak here. The service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, they are only open two nights a week, so it’s best to make reservations in advance.

Beautiful place to dine, menu is seafood concentrated and eating was generally good.

Good food but not as good as Coral or Anchorage. Great setting though, prompt service, friendly staff and better wine selection than the others. Worth going for a change if you can get in though. They only do dinner a couple of times a week so book early.
