Everything is cooked fresh with high quality ingredients. We had lamb vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, the appetizer sampler with onion pakora, samosa and all the delicious things. Sauces are off the hook!! Buy the sauce aampler, naan or garlic naan, pompadam and a mango lysee thank me later!! For vegetarians, their menus is FULL of ridiculously delicious options loaded with spices and whole food ingredients. A must try.
Really good food. You taste the flavor on all dishes. One of the top Indian restaurants in the Valley. The one in Encino is my favorite.
They do provide delivery through Restaurants on the Run, but for a hefty fee. Anarbagh offers free local delivery within a five-mile radius, or you can place a takeout order to enjoy a 15% discount. Be prepared for a small wait during dinner hours, as this place has become quite popular. The restaurant has recently been remodeled with new booths, stunning watercolor sky murals on the ceiling, and updated lighting. Street parking on Ventura Blvd. can be tricky, but there is free parking available at the back. The chicken tikka masala here is the best I’ve tasted, having tried it at numerous Indian restaurants across the country. The sauce is rich and creamy, with a wonderful blend of spices and tender, perfectly cooked chicken. One standout dish that I particularly love is the Lamb Mango Masala—tender chunks of lamb in a sauce that tastes like a blend of sweet BBQ and mango chutney. It’s delicious and a great option for those who claim they don’t like lamb. Their dinner for two is an incredible deal at under $40 and includes everything from appetizers and chicken tandoori to a meat curry, a vegetable dish, rice, naan bread, papads, chutney, dessert (gulab jamun, ice cream or baklava), and your choice of soft drinks or tea/coffee. There's also the occasional $10 off coupon in the local mail, which makes it even more appealing. My only wish is that they had a lunch buffet like many other Indian restaurants in the area, but their exceptional dinner offerings more than compensate for that.
I have to admit, when I first learned we would be dining here, I was a bit apprehensive. I expected it to be disappointing, but after visiting Anarbagh, I discovered that Indian cuisine has become one of my favorite types of food.
