The Poke Shack - Los Angeles

Fairly good poke. The Hawaiian style tuna was quite good and has a very balanced flavor. The spicy tuna had a distinct taste to it that I could put my finger on; it wasn’t bad or good, just interesting. I was hoping for a sweet chili sauce but to no avail; settled for an eel sauce instead. Service was friendly and excellent.

Low-key expensive. 29.90 for two people plus just a water because the cold pressed lemonade is $10 each. The can sprites are 2.50. Don't really drink soda though. Pretty bomb overall if you're willing to pay that extra coin.

Decided on this place after a night event in LA and I can say that it was a good experience. The location was right in the middle of the block on Melrose. Parking is spotty on the busy street but there 's a lot right behind the line of shops if you 're willing to drop down some money. There is seating inside the restaurant but for larger groups it may be difficult because of the number of seats. The rest of the interior is quite clean and great for photos. For the menu, you are greeted with two size options for your poké bowl. I went with the 'Big Daddy ' which was the 2-scoop option for about $12. At first, I was floored that two scoops of fish could cost so much but they packed it with fish as well as toppings so it 'll definitely fill up the average person. This location did have less options for the type of fish as only Ahi Tuna and Salmon were listed. Similar to many other poké spots, you have the choice of any toppings you may like at no cost as well as as many sauces. You can find several other spots for a lower price but the quality of their fish and quantity of toppings here made it worth it for me. Also, the staff here was very friendly and fun to talk with.

Best Poke in Hollywood. Start with your choice of numerous different marinated tuna or salmon or shrimp. Then pick from all kinds of toppings such as onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, seaweed, etc. Finally pick some sauces to toss everything in, such as garlic soy, siracha aioli, etc.

Yum! They are generous with the toppings an Small bowl was good enough for me.
