Bandido Taqueria Mexicana

Needed a quick bite before a concert and decided to DoorDash this to my hotel. This would have been a 2 star review but I gave them one extra star because I think the food may have tasted better in the restaurant. Everything was ok at best, the only really good thing was the queso that somehow managed to stay warm even despite delivery. The frozen Margaritas tasted like syrupy smoothies, no tequila in sight. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant unless in a pinch.

The 3 Birria tacos tasted good however it needs more smoky flavor add more dried peppers) and to be less lemony.

Rating 3.5 We finally got to try Bandido Taqueria on Liberty Street. The outside is all lit up with fun lighting and a sign to show the entrance is in the small alley between the brewery. We were able to grab on street parking right in front of the entrance. The restaurant itself is bright and colorful. There was a DJ spinning near the front by the menu. There was a short wait. You order at the counter and then there are several high top tables in the smaller restaurant. No one was eating at the tables most folks were ordering food to take next door to the brewery. There is a salsa bar with various spicy salsas, pickled onions and other items. We ordered the California burrito with steak (steak, cheese and fries), the Surf and Turf burrito (steak and shrimp burrito), steak quesadilla, 3 hand roll hard tacos and side of fries. The wait time was short for our food, maybe 10 minutes and we got to listen to music while we waited. The food smelled delicious and was still hot when we arrived home. The burritos were good, maybe a little salty for my taste. The quesadilla was a bit of a disappointment. It was $11 and only had steak and cheddar (yellow) cheese on it. The kids didn't love it either and ended up picking the steak off of it. It was a good sized portion but not much to it. The three hand roll tacos were okay, not a crazy amount of flavor. The fries were delicious very crispy small fries and the kids loved them. All in all it was pretty good not sure I'll come back soon. There are other Mexican restaurants that we want to try.

I expect consistency between the two restaurants. From now on, I will ensure that my service comes from the university location.
