The only thing that would have made this better is if they had more options for dinners. All the food they had was fried except for a grilled salmon and a grilled halibut dinner or Caesar salad. I had the Halibut dinner and it was excellent.
I've had my fair share of wonderful experiences here, especially the salmon and halibut with chips, which were outstanding. Although the location isn’t ideal, tucked away next to the highway, what I appreciated was the peacefulness of the setting. I typically don’t enjoy places that are too crowded—except for Japonessa in Downtown Seattle—but Ivar's at 148th drew me in with its serene atmosphere. I’ll always remember the chilly winter night when I savored a warm cup of chowder while watching the snow fall quietly outside, sharing the moment with my mother. I hope this message reaches you in time. It’s unfortunate that this location is closing, and I encourage you not to miss the chance to spend your last days here.
The staff here is always wonderful, and the fish and chips are some of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is generally calm, and there's plenty of seating available. The restrooms are clean as well!
I absolutely love the Alaskan Pollock and the amazing clams!
