I became aprehensive on spoting only one waitress but we were served 3 different dishes in record time. The view and calm silence were very welcoming. Th food was frankly very good. We had the meat dish and the fish rice stew. It was light and delicious. Although it was a late dinner, we werenever rushed. We used their excelent fresh bread to soak up the sauces and juices from the dishes. The cost/quality ratio was very good. We honestly recommend it.
We came here for dinner after a long flight. Both ladies in the service were very sympathic and sweet. We could even change the sidedishes. We had cheese, sausage and hummus as a starter for two, which was great. For main we orderd the Angus Rib for two with fries, asparagus rize and salade. Everything was just excellent. The fries were made the way of my grandma in spain. The meat was delicous, as was the rize. For dessert we hade homemade bananacake. It was the best dinner we had within 15 days on the Acores! Thank you so much for the lovely service and the amazing dinner!!!
It’s a hidden restaurant that you’ll find in an off-road part of Pico, not far from Madalena. You’ll be greeted by simply two outstanding ladies. They are attentive to the clients, smiling and ready to help. It’s a real 5-star service. The food is very traditional Portuguese and the quality is very good. It’s home cooked food (even down to the fries). Amazing quality for price. All in all, a great experience.
As far as barbecue restaurants go to Pico. That must be the best. Indoor wood fired grill and high quality meat and fish. With a good selection of wine from the mainland Portugal. What more do you need? Can only speak well of this place and its owners. Live here for 10 years still my favorite place.
