Konkani - Madgaon

I highly recommend this restaurant to all seafood enthusiasts. Additionally, I must mention that the prices are quite affordable.

This restaurant is small and lacking in atmosphere, serving local Goan cuisine. The food is average but slightly overpriced. We had the fish thali for lunch and found it to be more expensive than other restaurants in Goa. They also charged us for an extra bowl of gravy, which is usually complimentary at most hotels. If you have no other options in Madgaon city, this place is okay to try once.

We visited this place for lunch as we were bored of eating at the beach shacks in Beneaulim and wanted to eat a proper thali. After some searching on the web, we zeroed in on this place. We were lucky to find parking for our...4 wheeler about 500 meters away and the rest we walked. We ordered fish thali, veg thali and squid masala. The food was excellent and the portions large on hindsight the squid was not required. The quality of the food was very good and it was very tasty. We paid Rs 130 each for thali which is a steal. The place is frequented by local office goers and very few tourists. PLEASE NOTE THIS PLACE HAS NO AMBIENCE. I recently dined at this restaurant with my family for the second time. We tried the tinted fish, king fish, and mackerel fry, all of which were delicious. The fish curry was especially authentic and tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant for seafood lovers. The owner was very polite and helpful.
