They canceled my order right after I received it too. This place seems to be running a successful food scam and i hope the City shuts them down
(I'd rate 3.5 if I could) First off, Orient House is one of the cheapest Chinese food options in its area wich earns it two stars alone. I love that they have plenty of meat free options/lots of tofu options. Their food isn't the best I've had but is still very tasty for what you pay. I've only ever ordered online for pickup and sometimes the service is lacking there with typically one person standing out front usually doing something on their cell phone. I've been left standing and waiting for 15ish minutes multiple times watching them do this without checking on orders you can see sitting in the back. It's about a 50/50 chance on waiting around like that or the food being ready when I get there. And while the flavor is always great there's never any knowing weather or not the food will be ungodly spicy or not. I love spicy food and have a high tolerance for it but I have often ended up with a dish that I need to drink water between every bite just to get down. All in all, they're not perfect by any means but they do well enough that I keep coming back. Worth a shot if you've never eaten there.
Not good at all. I ordered through door dash and delivery was fine and on time. The food was just bad. Sesame chicken looked grey, and had little to no sauce, some raw chicken laying in the sauce. Steamed dumplings were raw as well. The dough wouldn’t even hold shape. We ordered from them because they were a bit pricy, so I thought it would be high quality. Was easily the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Will not be getting food here again, gross.
Amazing! I was very impressed! The server is very nice. Very Chinese styled. Will come back often for sure. The buns and the clear noodle as shown are all handmade. Excellent food. …………………… Okay, I was very angery and upset! Cause I really liked their food, I start to order delivery from them. As you can see above. I found a fly in my soup. A big black one! I was drinking out of their soup container, and I was half way to the bottom. I was disgusted, but wasn 't really mad at the time. I called back, and I put the amount I paid for the soup as a store credit. I order once after that, I found nothing. I was really happy. Usually I only order their appetizers. I 've been fine, so I wasnt really worried about their appetizers. . I made a big order soon after. Guess what, on the next day, when I was trying to finish the rest of my big order…… I found a gray hair in the lamb dish I ordered and pan scrub in my potatoes!! I was so disgusted I have to throw them away. They were off on that day, so I called them the following day. I never got a call back from their owner. I called them again the following week. Whoever picked up the phone told me to call again later that night. I really liked one of their appetizer which I 've been order it since the first time I ate there. I figured I 'll only order appetizer from now,and only when I really want it. The server asked me, Are you sure you want to order from us? I 'm afraid that there 's a problem for you again. Excuse me? Till now, I still didn 't hear anything back from the owner. I never called back. The problem is not the money! The problem is the experience and the unrespected treatment.
Loved the tomato beef stew! It's traditional northern food so avoid the Sichuan food options and you're good. The northern Bao is really delicious. I think it's a bit overpriced for Madison tho. Service is like what it's like in China.
