The person who took the order was rude, abrupt, and attempted twice to terminate our conversation before we finished ordering. The order itself was short one entree, and 2 of the others were burnt. The pizza was pretty good if you don’t mind half cooked crust, and the FOUR, tiny stuffed mushrooms were finally located at the bottom of a sauce ocean and tasted like boiled rice. The spaghetti with olive oil, basil, and garlic was the best tasting dish served, and I recommend it to anyone, the manicotti was burned on one side, but the other side was okay. The cannelloni was a greasy, unrecognizable, and unpalatable mess, which upon returning home, my dog refused to eat, instead sitting down in front of it, barking and growling. My sentiments exactly.
We had our family Christmas get together at Luigi's and was extremely happy with EVERYTHING. The portions are huge, the food was delicious the service was great! Ida was an incredible waitress
The only rating equal to this restaurant is 5 stars. A truly magnificent Italian restaurant, surprisingly set in a small, East Texas town. The store front, in a strip mall, draws the attention with the hand-crafted care which sets it apart from the neighboring Mexican restaurant in that it demonstrates that the proprietors care. Inside, again, a bit rustic, but clearly family operated, and the family took the time and care to decorate with love. The service is superb and by a member of the family, and their attention to detail and concern for the customer is superb. As to the food... Sublime. Exquisite. The bread is freshly baked. The marinara is homemade. The meat is perfectly spiced and cooked. I was speechless as I ate every bite, and I ordered a calzone and a Stromboli to-go to share with my girlfriend when I returned to Austin. This restaurant is so good my girlfriend and I may travel an hour and a half to shop at local antique stores and eat here. One of the highest compliments I can pay this restaurant is that it would prosper in Austin. Finally, the prices are so low that I bought extra, and when I eat there again (and I will) I will buy as much as I can take with me to store and eat at home. A shockingly great restaurant in a small-town in East Texas.
We were served bread rolls that had black hair baked into them. When we got our lunch plates there was also hair on them. The staff was very polite about everything. The food smelled great, we didn't eat due to the concern of the hair in the food.
On my way to Dallas and I see the excellent reviews about this place and I decide to choose here to stop and eat. Absolutely delicious food. I personally got the meatball parmigiana sub and I cant even explain how good it is. They give you really fresh rolls complimentary, and the place is so neat and clean. I love the soft Italian music in the background to! I will definitely stop here again if I travel back and forth this way.
