Nice pictures on internet but nothing more than that

I was really looking forward to visiting Avaton after seeing all the pictures on Instagram. However, it’s seems the pictures are exactly that, just for social media because the reality is very different! When we arrived we wasn’t greeted by anyone, found our own seats and waited around 10-15 mins but no one came to take our drinks order. I asked the waitress who informed me it was self service at the bar. Considering it wasn’t busy she could have served us. But ok no problem, I went to the bar to order 2 10 Euro cocktails only to be told cocktails were not available until 1pm. Someone please tell me where on the island you can’t get a cocktail at 12.15pm when your on holiday! Decided this place didn’t deserve our money so we left, no goodbyes from the staff. What a shame.

The staff are friendly, food was the best we have eaten on the island and the presentation very tastefully done a real treat to the end of a fantastic break . Thank you to all the staff and especially the kitchen.

Excellent service, spectacular location!!! Do you deserve both the beach and restaurant????
