There was plenty of room and time to serve a meal for three people but we were turned away with a "sorry but we cannot help". What was the problem - where we too British? One of our group spoke reasonable French - we were three men in our 60's looking for a decent meal in Magny after cycling 50 miles and had changed and washed before the meal. We felt badly rejected.
Recently had a steak & fries here. Very nice & reasonably priced......BUTThe waitresses didn't know the menu and were unable to explain dishesMEAT ORIGIN DUBIOUS: When we were paying and chatting to the chef at the bar (asking him if got the meat from local farms, etc...), a terribly rude member of kitchen staff came out from the kitchen moaning about his paycheck (that's the French for you! Can't keep their **** mouths shut) and said to the chef "dites la vérité sur la provence de vos viandes" = tell the truth about where you get your meat from". WOW I told the chef that I'd fire someone like that on the spot.and WOW, not sure we'll eat there again :( Pity to be surrounded by gorgeous farmland and not make deals with local farmers. The Chef said he went to Rungis International Market to get his meat and that it came from all over the country.........so it could be HALLAL rubbish, cruel rubbish :(
