The Captain's Library - Magny-le-Hongre

Had two meals here both nights we had lovely dinner food nice service was excellent. Better then the Plantation.

Food is ok , average ,a bit pricy on the menu for food offered,not a lot of choice. Could do better.

It took 20 to 30 minutes to get seated and then a further 10 minutes for an order to be asked. They gave me the wrong beer but at this point it was getting late so didn't want to fuss. We waited a further 30 to 40 minutes for out food to arrive and one of the meals was cold to warm. Won't be eating here again during our stay.

We dined here 2 evenings and the food was great. The mixed grill, explorers burgers and veal steaks were very tasty to be fair. The kids meals were good enough size and their dessert was included. Service was good and restaurant was a lot quieter than buffet area. Kids meals €14 Adults main course €16 to €21 Dessert €8-€10

If you stay at the hotel the only decent place to eat is the captains library. The service is great and friendly and the food is of great value.
