Pizza Hut - Maidstone

My husband and I had a busy morning in Maidstone and were feeling hungry. As we were walking past Pizza Hut, which we usually enjoy, we decided to go to the dockside location as usual. When we entered, we saw that there was only one table occupied and the rest were empty. A man with a ponytail named Andrew rushed us to our seats without even saying hello or welcoming us. He then left us at our table without taking our order, so we went up to the front to request the buffet. The man told us to sit down and wait for him to take our order, but we ended up serving ourselves. The food was terrible - the garlic bread had no garlic flavor, the pizzas had very few toppings and looked like they had been sitting out for days. The staff couldn't tell us what types of pizzas they were and we had to keep reminding them to bring our drinks. The chips we ordered were burnt so we didn't eat them. Another couple came in and received the same rushed and unfriendly service. To top it all off, we were handed the bill as soon as we sat down to eat. We will never be returning to this Pizza Hut again.

After a long wait, we ordered wine only to be told there weren't enough wine glasses for everyone. We all ended up with tumblers, which not only looked unappealing but also made it difficult to enjoy the wine. The staff member clearing rubbish in the back of the restaurant left the door open, making it uncomfortably cold for us. As a vegan, I carefully chose a suitable meal but our waitress was unable to assist me. Another waiter provided a booklet with nutritional information, but this was the extent of good service we received. During the meal, plates were cleared too soon and the waitress even mistakenly served me a dish with prawns despite my dietary restrictions and allergy. Although the staff were friendly, their numerous mistakes overshadowed this. I was disappointed by the service and rushed meal experience, and we left without dessert. I will not be returning to this restaurant again.
