The Woolpack Inn - Maidstone

After having been to this pub multiple times in the past, we were let down during our most recent visit. The staff were great and very accommodating, but unfortunately, the Fish Pie did not meet our expectations. It lacked in both quantity and quality of fish, with only a few small prawns to be found in the dish. The pie itself was not up to par compared to others we have had for the same price. Overall, the lack of quality in the meal does not make us eager to return.

No atmosphere at all, inattentive staff, food not good, frozen roast potatoes and Yorkshire Pudding. We arrived at 1pm and they had run out of roast beef which was a surprise considering there were only four other diners in the restaurant!! Was here a year ago and it was full up but hardly anyone in here yesterday. We won't eat here again.

So disappointed sunday lunch such a big disappointment I don't think a Sunday lunch should be served with frozen roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding Aswell . This was well and truly a shame

Country pubs often struggle to cater to vegans, but the Woolpack Inn is an exception! I visited with some colleagues on a Friday and was delighted by the amazing service and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. They even made a vegan version of their vegetable lasagne for me, which was served with delicious garlic bread. The waitress was exceptional, making sure I had a wonderful dining experience. She even went out of her way to find vegan dessert options for me, including a vegan crumble and vanilla ice cream. This pub truly went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and valued as a vegan diner. We will definitely be returning – thank you for a fantastic meal!

I made a reservation for lunch on Sunday to celebrate my wife's birthday. We dined at a charming, old-fashioned country pub. My wife enjoyed the delicious roast beef, and I thought the ranch burger was great. I highly recommend this place.
