Morning Sun Vineyard - Main Ridge

On a beautiful day you can’t beat this place. Divine leafy views over the vineyard from the raised terrace and genuinely good service make this the perfect Autumn outing. The food does elegant simplicity so well. And the wine, take it from me, a local… it’s good!!

The location and set up on a nice sunny day is top class with views of the grapevines and excellent outdoor dining space. The food is very good, very Italian and top quality which you expect from the folks at Foxeys. I enjoyed this more than the previous visit when it was very new (even though my rating is a little lower) as there have been refinements to the menu which is good value. The wines are good as you might expct. I gave it 4.5 and highly recommend a visit.

We enjoyed a beautiful lunch with lovely wines produced by the winery. The taste of everything on the menu was superb. We were blessed with such beautiful weather and the expertise of lovely staff. Highly recommended

Morning Sun was always one of the prettiest locations on the Mornington Peninsula with its very Italian inspired buildings and great views over the vineyards. With the team at Foxeys in charge the place has been transformed and is close to up there with the best. (It is new and still some evolution of the menu expected) They adopted the same approach that has proven so successful at Foxeys Hangout ,a short distance away of shared small plates and great wine . The 'Leave it to us "menu at $38.00 was excellent value and in fact a little too much food. The fit out was classy and the staff excellent and knew what they were doing. There is some room to slightly change the menu which will evolve and in time will turn into a winner, just like Foxeys , the best value, best food and best wine on the Peninsula. My guess is that it might surpass Foxeys because of location , fit-out and views.

A delightful experience today for lunch. We were pressed for time but the restaurant handled everything expertly. The ‘Leave it to Us’ menu was delicious every single morsel.
