Whenever I crave for barbeque ribs - Racks always comes to mind. An additional delight is their pound cake topped with vanilla ice cream.
Their pork ribs is my favorite! The meat falls off the bones, and their sauces really goes well with their food. Definitely, one of our family's go-to places every get-together.
RACKS is a modern Filipino classic! I know it's not pinoy, but it's a local chain, and it's the BEST at what it does! Their barbecues, I believe, are superior to those of TONY ROMA's, the american chain in Glorietta4. Everything, absolutely every barbecue in the menu, is worth every calorie, triglyceride, fat, aortal blockage - in other words, it's worth risking your life for. The pork ribs, beef, baby back, and chicken barbecues all make you want to ignore your doctor's orders. With their signature sauces, it's a perfect carnivore's feast. It's really just the side dishes that can do some work: the beans and coleslaw are on par, but the corn bread is a wee bit dry. But these are SIDE dishes! The central meats is the meat of the matter. The service has greatly improved, wait staff are very attentive, and the dining area is inviting and clean.
Racks is one of those culinary stalwarts where you never get disappointed. Pork, beef and chicken that drop off the bone at reasonable prices coupled with sidings and sauces that make you feel like you're at an American summer backyard barbecue. I recommend the pork and cornbread.
