Awesome burritos! I visited the cigar shop next door and never looked much at lorenas. one of my cigar friends told me that I had to try a burrito from the next door, which I pampered from the burritos I ate in socal in the late 80s. these were converted walk burger places, which now owners burrito stands. I remember trying every ingredient like rice, pork, beeping and cheese. these burritos were not served wet, but were still incredibly moist that brings me back to lorenas. I went next door from the cigar shop ordered a steak burrito. to my surprise I was taken back 25 years! I was astonished as...read more
The pupusa are good, but not the best I ever had. they are just missing something like the little ones. the second time I went there, I was disappointed by the curtido that goes with the pupusas - instead of nicely cared for and sweet, it was more like boiled cauliflower and wobbly served cold. not sure what happened. it wasn't like when I went there for the first time! good enough to try another time for convenient execution on a busy worknight, but there are definitely better pupusa and fool out there.
Awesome Burritos!!!. I frequent the cigar shop next door and never paid much attention to Lorena's. One of my cigar buddies told me I had to try a burrito from next door I was spoiled by the burritos I ate while living in SoCal in the late These were served at converted walk up burger places that were now family owned burrito stands. I remember tasting every ingredient including the rice, pork, beans, and cheese. These burritos were not served wet but were nonetheless incredibly moist. This brings me back to Lorena's. I walked next door from the cigar shop ordered a steak burrito. To my utter surprise, I was taken back years! I was amazed at how moist and flavorful this burrito was. I couldn't wait for the next time I was in the area. The menu only shows steak, but they also have Al Pastor, and Barbacoa. The Al Pastor was terrific, but the Barbacoa is supposed to be the best. That's for next week!
I don't know who rates this but I am a foodie. This place is authentic. the burritos are fantastic if you like real authentic food. Not expensive but if your on a diet, do not go there. Betsy
