A tip for fellow diners: the cocktail menu is extensive and offers some excellent choices. I tried the Beehive cocktail and was thoroughly impressed! We settled at a lovely table under a tree, which added to the delightful experience. The service we received was exemplary, and the food was nothing short of amazing. We started with the ham hock, fried egg, and brown sauce – it was absolutely delicious! Next, we shared the lamb, which was cooked to perfect pink and bursting with flavor. We also ordered several sides, all of which were excellent, but my favorite by far was the roasted cauliflower. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this beautiful restaurant and I look forward to returning the next time I'm in the area.
The space itself is beautiful, featuring large old windows that are very attractive, and the indoor garden decor—complete with small trees and a table with an umbrella—is delightful. The service was attentive and quick. My friend had the duck starter, which was absolutely excellent—one of the most delicious things I've tasted. I really enjoyed my smoked salmon dish and dessert, especially the extremely tasty filo pastry in which it was served. I don’t know how such a thin pastry could be so flavorful, although it might be attributed to butter. I was a bit disappointed by the main course options, which were either ox cheek or white fish, along with what appeared to be a vegetarian option of tortilla wraps (the menu didn’t specify what was in them). I felt like the available choices swung between extremely light (the fish) and very rich (the ox dish). However, the ox cheek was not overwhelming and was indeed very good. I made the mistake of treating the fish dishes as separate components when I initially served them, but I realized that they would have been much more flavorful combined. I’ll keep that in mind for next time! I didn't absolutely love my dish, as I'm not typically a fan of things that come with buzzing (aside from fried food, of course—bring on the fried!), but it was still decent. The desserts were nicely done; they didn’t wow me, but I appreciated the use of rose water in the cream broth. Some desserts on the à la carte menu looked incredible. Overall, a great place among many restaurants!
I wanted to come a long time ago, finally immerse, although it was only for a few quiet drinks the atmosphere was beautiful and I can't expect to come back to eat. the service is impeccable and I could not recommend the popcorn anymore:
I find that herr coopers house and garden to one of the best restaurants in some places for excellent eating too very cheap trips. as part of the most interesting midland hotel, mr coopers is a British restaurant that serves some of the most interesting dishes all around. when I visited, I was certainly not stuck for options! but after a lot of thought I decided for the cream of the celery root soup with crispy cale and fry chicken ravioli for starter. it was excellent. I had no celery soup as amazing as this, since my oma made it earlier, around 1995. we also ordered some pork kratzer with a apple gel to snack on. that was great. so light and fluffy and melt into the claue! for my main course I decided to plaice with chorizo and kuminkartoffeln in a clam chowder sauce. delicious! and the plage was perfectly cooked. the sides of the cantilevered kale, spinat and speck and the flower cauliflower have cut off the dishes so well that I could not deal with dessert. the meal was error-free and it has an excellent bar and excellent cocktails! I'm a big fan.
I suggested to my family that we try Mr Coopers for lunch, my treat. Of course they said yes and we enjoyed a lovely Saturday afternoon indulging in various tasty morsels and wonders placed in front of us. The service was impeccable, and every dish was not only beautiful to look at but tasted devine. The highlight for me was the white chocolate mousse I had for dessert. Lots of unexpected flavours and textures created a very memorable dish that I 'd love to have again! The bar area also looks really lovely, I was pleased to see a good selection on non alcoholic cocktails available and had a 'school trip to Mexico '. Was very refreshing and not overly sweet, something too many other non alcoholic options tend to do. I hope to come back and sample the Sunday roast deal, or the three course weekday lunch both great value for money!
