We called the restaurant and were told that a driver would come to collect the wrong order and that they would prepare a new one for us. However, after waiting another 60 minutes, our order still hasn't arrived. It has now been 2 and a half hours since we placed our order and we are still without food, despite spending £22. We are extremely disappointed and will not be ordering from this place again.
This restaurant review left a bad impression on me, as I typically don't leave reviews. After spending £65 on food, our order arrived with 3 items missing, which happened to be everything my husband wanted. When I called to address the issue, the man I spoke to accused me of lying. Even after my friend spoke to him on the phone, he still called us liars. We argued for 5 minutes before he reluctantly agreed to provide the missing items, but we couldn't pick them up as we had been drinking. Eventually, the items were delivered, but the quality of the food we did receive was poor considering the high price we paid (more expensive than our favorite Chinese restaurant that couldn't deliver that evening). I have no intention of ordering from this restaurant again and I strongly urge others to do the same!
I had high hopes for The Canton, but unfortunately my experience only warranted a two-star review. Despite the busy weekend and the challenges of the Christmas season and pandemic, I was disappointed with my meal. As a vegetarian dining with meat-eating family members, I ordered a mix of vegetarian and meat dishes. However, I found a piece of battered pork in my Cantonese style tofu and received pork pancake rolls instead of vegetable spring rolls. The presence of pork in my tofu made me feel nauseous and ruined my meal experience. While I understand that mistakes happen, my past experience working in a Chinese takeaway makes me feel that this error was avoidable.
Ordered the food on just eat and paid for it, was delivered after over and hour and half. The next evening the delivery driver was banging on the door, shouting and demanding £12. And all we got was a sorry over text once I had sent the evidence. Oh and also a sarcastic text from the delivery driver awful.
