Amazing service, beautiful views on the beach!! If you are visiting manzanillo and want to grab a bite to eat you must stop in! I went there in feb 09 and I fell in love, I visited a lot of other restaurants in town but kept finding myself back at el indio because of the amazing good and wonderful service!
My wife and I stopped here for a beer and snack while on a long beach walk. The waitress told me they had great coconut shrimp so we went back the next night to give it a try. My wife is vegan and the waitress told her she would fix a special meal for her. We were both so impressed. My shrimp were huge, absolutely fantastic and the mango salsa it came with was a great combo. Definitely having this again on our next visit. The service was great, chips and salsa right away, and when I ordered a rum and coke, they had no coke so sent someone to get it. This was an easy walk from Club Santiago and was nice watching the waves while eating
Worst Restaurant experience of my life. My wife and I went there for a quiet lunch, there were only two tables with people, we figured it would be great to get fast service. BUt we waited, and waited, until I had to go and call one of the waiters for service, I could not believe the 2 waiters just stood there doing nothing and we had to ask them for menus and service. So finally the waiter came, long face, rude, arrogant and had a very bad attitude, he looked like he hated to work there, he was very rude, never looked at us and well I just wanted to leave, but my wife told me to be patient and to enjoy the view. The red eye beers we had were 6 dlls each!!! SO EXPENSIVE!!! and the food was very very disspointing and expensive. Once we ordered and got the food, the waiter never cameback to the table and we figured out the total with the menu to pay the check, as waiter went to hide who knows where. So we left the money on the table, and as soon as we were walking out waiter appeared and rushed to the table to pick up the money. WEIRD!!! THE WORST WAS THAT WE GOT VERY SICK AND ENDED IN THE LOCAL HOSPITAL THAT NIGHT. The food we ate there had SALMONELLA. It's all we ate that day, so we know it was there and we still very sorry we ever stopped at that terrible place.
**********I went to travel to Manzanillo, Mexico February.2009, I found this little beach resturant to be my VERY favorite place to eat! It is on Playa De Oro Beach, "El Indio".....I fell absoultely in love with this place. The service is over the top and the food is the best seafood I have had in my life. They will make anything you ask seafood and the ceviche is amazing........I went deep sea fishing brought it back to the resturant and they cooked it for me five different ways.....(again amazing food!!!) Prices are good, food is excellent*************
